About this list
Most monsters have to reach you; the worst ones only have to be perceived. Cognitohazard horror locates the threat inside understanding itself — a word, an image, an idea that harms you the moment it lands — so that comprehension becomes contamination. This is a list for films where to see, hear, or grasp the wrong thing is to be doomed by it.
