Halloween is horror's home game. The one night built for masks, the dead, and the dark, it lets the genre stage its terrors in plain sight, where a killer in a costume is just another trick-or-treater until he isn't. Anthologies, slashers, and folk devils all gather under the jack-o'-lantern glow. This is a list for horror films set on or around Halloween night, when the veil is thin and anything wearing a mask might mean it.
