About this list

The deep and the dark hold horror's oldest unknowns. Below the waterline or down in the earth lives a predator perfectly suited to its element and utterly alien to ours, striking from a blind spot we can never quite cover. This is a list for films about an unknowable thing that hunts from the deep; for a confined fight with the creature, see Trapped with the Creature.
