User Notes
In the year or two since this film was released, the entertainment industry has become obsessed with GLP-1s, looksmaxxer influencers like Clavicular have penetrated the mainstream, & Silicon Valley start-ups like Superpower have raised tens of millions of dollars to import peptides to alter our body's chemistry. Beyond its visceral commentary on western culture's warped views on youth & beauty, I think this film will be remembered as a warning shot before society was overrun with new pressures to adopt new tech-based optimizations. The entertainment industry's arms race toward some artifically achieved, conventionally attractive ideal may be spilling over into the workplace.
